Betsey Nash
(SPHR)
Betsey
brings over 15 years experience as a Human Resources generalist
and over 20 years experience in management to Nash HR
Services. Her experience includes 10 years in HR with
The Home Depot before being recruited by Bed, Bath
and Beyond to be District HR manager for the busy San
Fernando Valley. Since 1983, Betsey continues to be
a popular teacher of classes in management, human resources
and communication for professionals in business and academic
settings. Among other institutions, she is part of the Extended
Education department faculty at
Cal Poly State University
and is an
instructor for the Institute
for Professional Development.
Betsey's professional affiliations include the Society
of Human Resource Management (SHRM), The International
Society for Performance Improvement, California Diversity
Council and the Human Resources Association of the
Central Coast (HRACC) and Santa Maria, CA (SMHRA).
Betsey has been active in the Central Coast community
for over two decades, is an active Rotarian and currently
serves as advisor to the Women's Legacy Fund of the
San Luis Obispo Community Foundation, and as a Director
of the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce. Listed
in Who's
Who in American Executives and Professionals, Betsey holds the national certification
of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), attesting to her expertise
in the field.

Marci
Powers
Marci
Powers, Leadership Development and Training Director,
graduated Magna cum Laude from California State University,
Northridge, and owned and operated a successful small
business for many years before being hired by the county
of Ventura as a Probation Officer. She was recognized "Officer
of the Year" at
every step of her career: as Deputy, Senior, and again
as a Supervising Probation Officer. Always a popular
instructor among her peers and staff, Marci designed
and implemented several training programs for the county.
She has served on hiring panels and, in cooperation
with several other agencies, brought the "Wraparound" Foster
Care Program to the county of Ventura. Marci is highly
regarded for her skill in collaborating with others
to find solutions to problems in both the public and
private sectors and is certified by the Anti-defamation
League as a facilitator for diversity training. Marci's
professional affiliations include the San Luis Obispo
Chamber of Commerce and the California Diversity Council.
